Here's
the 'skinny':
The One World Series is a young adult multiuniverse fantasy series (basically a modern world book with fantasy and sci-fi elements). It includes the premise that there are 4 dimensions (Earth and three others: Zon - truth, Znout - lies and Death).
It all came to be because I wondered what it'd be like if there was an alternate dimension overlapping with ours which showed the truth of individuals...different than Earth where, sometimes, the truth is distorted...

BOOKS
"The Tree"
This is where it all started---the first idea that came to me with this series. The tree is depicted as having thick, intwined roots and sitting in the middle of several farm fields. It's the first place Herkle encounters Zon.
Herkle's AUNT & UNCLE'S FARMHOUSE
Herkle's Aunt and Uncle provide comfort for Herkle in the story. Here's a depiction of their Pennsylvania stone farmhouse (while kind of spastically put together with AI). I got the idea for the farmhouse while looking out the window on a drive in PA.
Znout's Projection Cubicles
Rita's perspective shows us about projection cubicles in Znout, where she has the ability to project into other dimensions. I imagine them as dark rooms with red, neon lighting, much like is portrayed in this picture.
School Halls
Several scenes take place here, in the halls of Herkle and Decker's high school. When it turns darker, they know they are in Zon (because the truth is that the school is a prison for many students and is reflected as such in the Zon dimension).
Let's Talk SETTING.
Herkle
Oh, Herkle...he's the guy you love to love. Innocent, accidently hilarious, sometimes clumsy and awkward...your normal guy with normal girl crushes and thoughts... So, why does this normal guy have super-strength muscles in Zon?

Rita
Rita is like the blade of a knife---you never know exactly what she might do. She's sharp, quick on her feet and has an insecure soft spot for good things like she really wants to believe them (although she's rather hard and, sometimes, bitter). It's yin and yang, good vs. evil inside her always. Which will win?
Decker
Enter the comedic relief. Decker is pure comedy. He's the reluctant sidekick, the complainer and the sarcastic quipper, but he's also determined to do the right thing...even if he, sometimes, gets swept up by peer pressure...
Thanatos
Hot guy demon? Check. This guy is a formidable adversary who doesn't like to be kept waiting. He's impatient, passionate, sarcastic and, still, sultry. ...Why does he have to be the bad guy? Does he???

Mason
Server in Znout. He might don a waiter's uniform, but his brain is sharp and firing. Sly, edgy and snarky, it's hard to tell where his alligence lies...unless he's just in it for himeslf...
